Nonprofit Disaster PreparednessNonprofit Disaster Preparedness Survey results and guides to writing a disaster plan. The Philanthropy Center conducted a very short, ten-question survey of over 500 nonprofits to determine if they are prepared in the event of possible disasters. This year, nonprofits must consider the possibility of hurricanes, wild fires, and an avian flu pandemic. With a response of approximately 18%, the results indicate that only 60% now have a Disaster Preparedness Plan. To view the results of the survey, please click here. If your organization does not have a written plan or needs to update your current plan, the Philanthropy Center encourages you to visit the following Web sites that include two different templates you may wish to use as a guide.
